The annual Green Up festivities in Tinmouth will take place this coming Saturday, May 2 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. There will be free ice cream for all and prizes for youngsters. We'll meet at the Tinmouth Transfer Station on Rt. 140 at 9:00 to get bags and sections of road to green up. At 11:00 we'll regroup at the transfer station for ice cream and prizes. Organizers will provide trash bags, latex gloves and hand cleaner. Come dressed in work clothes and wear long pants, long sleeved shirts to protect against ticks. This is a fun, family oriented event with a great community service aspect and it spruces up our town roads for spring after a long winter. We strongly encourage people to show up on Saturday for the Green Up event, however if you can't attend, you can also get bags and get a road section to clean up from Gail Fallar, town clerk anytime the town office is open.
