Let's see how much trash we can collect from the roadsides of our beautiful town! This is perfect weather since the grass has not covered the trash yet.
If you want to get a head start, swing by the Town Hall this week to get some green bags. Highlight your route on the town map. The on Sat May 2, bring the bags of roadside trash up to the Cornwall School where town trucks will be awaiting your collection. (This is better than just leaving the bags on the side of the road, but let me or Sue Johnson know if you need to do that, or if you find items that need hauling, and we can have someone pick them up. ) Or just come to the school on Saturday to pick up the bags, go home to pick up the trash, and then bring it back. I'll be there between 8-12 with bags and some coffee and treats.
Also bring your checkbook or cash because the Cornwall School and Church will both be having some great rummage sales!
Be aware that deer ticks are active above 40 degrees, so take precautions such as wearing mud boots and long sleeved shirts, and checking yourself for ticks when you're through.
I'm happy to host a perennial swap if townsfolk want to do that -- just let me know.
Thanks and we'll see you next weekend!
