The Ephemeral Stringband plumbs the depths of American traditional music, re-crafting primary source materials from the old-time stringband, country gospel, shape-note hymn, and classic bluegrass traditions. The resulting sound is rich, creative, and relevant while remaining firmly grounded in the past, and features close three-part country harmony singing, driving fiddle-and-banjo instrumentals, and haunting spiritual numbers.
