Hey Everyone - I'm forming a Winooski Energy Committee and the inaugural meeting is from 5-7 PM on May 13 upstairs at Waterworks. I'm working with the folks at VECAN ( http://www.vecan.net/ ) and the goal of the committee will be to reduce energy costs and climate impacts through conservation, increased energy efficiency and conversion to renewable energy sources. We'll set goals and work together to figure out how to meet them. Many other Vermont towns have already formed energy committees and are making a big impact - a good example is South Burlington's work on the energy prize.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in attending or feel free to just show up. No experience or background necessary.
