Residents and small businesses of Bennington, North Bennington, Old Bennington, Glastenbury, Pownal, Searsburg, Shaftsbury, Stamford and Woodford may bring household hazardous waste to the Bennington Transfer Station on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event is FREE for residents. Businesses must register by April 27th and pay for disposal costs. Substances with warnings such as toxic, corrosive, poison, combustible, danger or caution, wear gloves, use in a well-ventilated room, keep away from flame or similar warnings as well as oil based paint and latex paint will be accepted.
