In case you missed the ad in the Waterbury Record or the Valley Reporter, The Mad River Resource Management Alliance is holding it's annual pre-buy truckload sale of backyard compost bins on May 23, 2015. We are selling the Soil Saver Bins which hold 85 gallons of food scraps and yard and garden material and converts this into rich garden soil. The assembled dimensions are 28"x28"x32". The bins cost $52.00. Kitchen scrap collectors which are tan and have a 1.8 gallon capacity are available at $11.00 each. Send check made out to the MRRMA by May 20, 2015 to: PO Box 210, Waterbury Center, VT 05677 and indicate if you will pick the bin up at the Earthwise Transfer Station in Waitsfield or the Old Armory on Armory Drive behind Thatcher Brook Primary School in Waterbury.
