Join us for the Annual Poetry Slam at the Lanpher Memorial Library, Friday May 1 at 6:00 p.m
A poetry slam is the art of performance poetry. At the Lanpher Library, any poet is welcome to perform their original piece without using props, costumes or musical instruments. The performances will be judged by members of the audience and prizes will be awarded. All ages are welcome to join us...and we hope for many performers as well as audience members.
Performances can be heartfelt, funny, social commentary, angry, sweet, personal....The Lanpher Library Poetry Slam is a safe and welcoming event to all who wish to join us.
Refreshments will be served.
