Raffle for the Race: A Fundraising Event to Support Zoe’s Race

Raffle for the Race will be held tonight, Tuesday April 21st from 6 pm to 8 pm, at New Moon Café at 150 Cherry Street to support and raise awareness and funds for the Howard Center’s Zoe’s Race.
The Howard Center’s Zoe’s Race is a nonprofit organization, named after Zoe, who at 18 months was in a near drowning accident. The race started by Burlington resident Erika Nestor after her daughter Zoe, who is in wheelchair, faced many hardships to get into and around her own home. Erika began a remodeling project to help make her home more accessible for her daughter – and soon came to find that there were very limited funds available to assist families with remodeling costs related to accessibility.
The Howard Center’s Zoe’s Race is a 1K Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk held at Oakledge Park in Burlington, Vermont on August 30, 2015 to help raise funds to make homes more accessible for local families. Raffle for the Race is a fundraiser this week that is meant to raise awareness and funds for Zoe’s Race. At Raffle for the Race there will be many raffle items and prizes to win, such as
• A gift card from Ben & Jerry’s
• A gift card from Penny Cluse
• A gift card from CyclePath
• A gift card from Pizzeria Veritas
• A bat boy or girl for one game at The Vermont Lake Monsters
• A signed hockey stick from the UVM Men’s Hockey team
and more!!!
Come have a great time with food, music and the opportunity to win some great prizes! We hope to see you Tuesday the 21st at New Moon Café and appreciate your support!
