Second Public Meeting on VTC/State Lab Site Proposal

Past event
Apr 21, 2015, 6 to 7:30 PM

A second public meeting between State agencies the Randolph community regarding the siting of the proposed state laboratory will be held this Tuesday, April 21 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Langevin House at the bottom of Furnace Rd, adjacent to the veterans' cemetery.

The state's project director Sandy Vitzthum tells me they've been analyzing the THREE possible sites, but I note they have spent a lot of energy and dollars anticipating that the Furnace Road site will be chosen ($15,000 just for the test pits dug on the Furnace Rd hayfield). I encourage all those interested in land use, water quality, traffic, village character and agricultural issues (along with everyone else!) to attend this second meeting to insure that the community concerns raised at the previous meeting are being addressed and that the Enterprise Building on Rt 66 has been given sufficient consideration in weighing the issues raised at the last meeting. I think we've all seen that public participation helps to insure a better result.
