Chelsea, VT – An Informational Meeting regarding the projects listed below will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Chelsea Town Office located at 301 VT 110. The meeting will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and Town of Chelsea.

Bridge replacement projects:

• Chelsea BHF 169(9) VT 110, Bridge 9 over First Branch White River, and
• Chelsea BHF 0169(10) VT 110, Bridge 11 over South Washington Brook

The preferred alternative for each project includes superstructure (beams and deck) replacement with abutment rehabilitation and widening. Traffic is anticipated to be maintained on an offsite detour during two independent short term road closures.

The intent of this meeting is to provide an overview of these bridge replacement projects and solicit feedback regarding project development and final bridge appearance from the Town Officials, local residents and businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, detour, and overall schedule followed by specific polling questions to engage the community and a question and answer period. Representatives from both VTrans and the Town of Chelsea will be available at the meeting to address public concerns about the projects.
