Join me for a day of Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Awareness on the Statehouse Lawn Friday May 1st.

Activities start at 10:00 AM with a "Take a Bite out of Lyme" challenge. At 11:00 AM, club craig's Chronic 1/4k Spectacle starts. Why am I walking 820 feet? Because I can. A year ago I could barely walk. I was diagnosed with MS in July of 2013. I had MS for 2.5 months. I then rejected the diagnosis . I pursued Lyme Disease for the next 6 months. 4 tests later, I finally was prescribed antibiotics. I was taking 500mg of Amoxicillin twice a day for 75 days. My Lyme Literate Medical Doctor thought I had MS and didn't think I had Lyme. I still managed to get the drugs. According to the CDC, I did not have Lyme Disease. That's okay. After 12 years of slipping through the cracks of the medical system. I sensed micro sensations of healing and took myself off the Amoxicillin. This walk is a celebration of living. A sound track to the walk will be performed live on the lawn by Rick Redington. Anyone that wants to join me walking is welcome.

I knew I was getting better and reserved the lawn in August, 2014. I didn't know at the time but the Vermont Workers' Center had been having rallies and marched on the Statehouse for the past few years on May 1st. I thought I would share the lawn with them. It's the easiest way to get 1,500 people to attend my walk.
