On Saturday, May 2, The Cambridge Conservation Commission and the Vermont PEACE Center are partnering to present a Green Up Day Event, located on Rt. 109, just one mile outside of town at 197 Higgins Run. The event, which runs from 9 am to 12 pm, will include a dump truck for dropping off trash, local vendors, such as the Seed Library and a face painting booth, a station to dispose of e-waste (old cellphones, VCRs, etc.), guided nature walks through a one-mile trail, and a raptor presentation courtesy of VINS Nature Center.

And what’s a Green Up Day Event without a little friendly competition? Make sure to save your strangest, weirdest, or silliest piece of trash, and the winner will receive a free composter and a kitchen scrap collector from the Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District!
