The Clarina Howard Nichols Center is pleased to present our annual production of the Vagina Monologues. April 24th & 25th at 7 PM, Stowe Town Hall Theater. April is Sexual Violence Awareness Month. This will be the eighth year that the Clarina Howard Nichols Center will bring the Vagina Monologues, directed this year by Colleen Twomey, to Lamoille County. The Vagina Monologues is a venue to highlight the issues of violence against women and to get people involved.
The Vagina Monologues is a global activist movement that uses arts and creative events to raise awareness and aid to end violence including rape, battery and incest against women and girls. What began as one event in New York City in 1994 today includes nearly 6,000 annual performances by groups around the world. It’s a production consisting of various monologues which are derived from interviews with real women from around the world. The play touches on topics that are representative of global issues faced by women.
Tickets are $10 each, $5 with student ID. Please call (802) 888-2584 to reserve your seats, or email dev@clarina.org.
