Vermont Farmers Food Center in collaboration with the Rutland Area Climate Coalition (RACC) will host an Earth Day Celebration on Wednesday afternoon, April 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. That will take place in and around The Vermont Farmers Food Center at 251 West Street during the Winter farmers Market that will be open for business at that time.

Celebrating Earth Day as a community supports both VFFC and RACC’s mission in fostering connections to and reverence for the earth. The celebrations will host multi-faceted presentations of music, arts, crafts, gardening, video, sustainable energy and food that will appeal to children and grown-ups alike along with the Winter Farmers Market being open for business at that time.

There will be acoustic music, including guitars, dulcimers, recorders, and drumming, and there will be a continuous screening of the documentary “Planet Earth.” and a full length movie will be presented at 7 pm upstairs on the balcony. For more information or to be included in a presentation, contact Colton Francis at 610-742-3718 or email info@vermontfarmersfoodcenter.org .
