To all Poultney family, friends, and neighbors – come celebrate our planet’s sustainability during the traditional Poultney Earth Fair!

Poultney High School will host the 8th annual Poultney Earth Fair on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd from 2 to 5PM. This is just around the corner, so mark your calendars.

The theme this year, chosen by Poultney’s 7th grade class, is “Global Changes, Our Actions.” Together we’ll explore how small changes in our daily behavior can evolve into a global transformation capable of sustaining all the people on Earth. As in past years, the Fair will offer a variety of educational activities focused on the theme.

Over sixty exhibitors have prepared interactive demonstrations and activities to showcase what individuals can do to make their communities a better place to live. Earth Fair attendees will experience live music, ten-minute bike tune-ups by Tim Johnson, art activities, the cool laser-hunting demo, and exciting information about solar and energy efficiency innovations.

This year, the Earth Fair will kick-off with a parade starting at the Green Mountain College circle at 1:30PM. The Poultney 7th graders, Tinmouth and Middletown Springs Elementary schools, and everyone else who wants to be part of the excitement is welcome to join. `

Arriving at Poultney High School, there will be delicious treats prepared by LiHigh School and GMC’s Food Justice class. Be sure not to miss NOFA VT’s famous organic brick oven pizza.
