Free Movie at the Paramount

Past event
May 6, 2015, 7 to 9 PM

On Wednesday, May 6th at 7pm, at the Paramount Theater, RAFFL (Rutland Area Farm and Food Link) is hosting a FREE showing of the movie CHEF, staring Jon Favreau, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Amy Sederis, Sofia Vergara, and John Leguizamo. This movie, a wonderful mix of comedy and drama, music and food, follows a creative but troubled chef who opens a food truck after being fired from a prestigious restaurant. We especially loved the farmers’ market scenes! This film is rated R (mostly for mature language) and is “certified fresh” with 85% on the Rotten Tomatoes film review website.

This movie night is completely free and is RAFFL's way of thanking everyone in the community who supports local food, local farms, and local businesses! For 10 years, RAFFL's mission has been supporting farms and farmers, building the local economy, and preserving our working landscape.

This movie is possible thanks, in part, to sponsorship by Roots the Restaurant, Sun Common, Coffee Exchange, Palms Restaurant, Little Harrys, Speakeasy Café, and Killington Deli, and with support from the Downtown Rutland Partnership and the Paramount Theater.

Please join RAFFL for this fun and free movie night! Tickets are not necessary – just come to the Paramount Theater, downtown Rutland, on Wednesday, May 6th for the 7pm show! And feel free to invite your friends and family – everyone is welcome!
