The Essex Conservation Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the conference room at the Town Offices, 81 Main Street. The agenda includes the following items:
1) Public comments
2) Development review (with the Trails Committee) of applications scheduled to go before the Planning Commission on April 23:
- 41 River Road: Request to re-phase an expired residential phasing allocation for a 24-unit, multi-family structure that was approved in 2005. (This is a consent agenda item, which means Community Development staff has already written a draft approval letter. If the Planning Commission decides an application is significant enough to warrant more discussion, the PC can pull the application from consent agenda.)
- 23 Essex Way (Hannaford): Proposal to add a pick-up lane in the parking lot, which will result in the removal of 17 parking spaces.
- 57 Saxon Hill Road: Preliminary subdivision plan (the second of three required approvals) for a 5-lot subdivision that is designed to include four homes and one open space lot.
- 15 Corporate Drive (Simpson Cabinetry): Proposal to construct a 7,480 square foot office and woodworking building.
3) Establishing a conservation fund or land trust: Discussion with Bob Heiser of Vermont Land Trust
4) Town Plan goals and objectives
5) Expanding current use program enrollment in Essex
6) Quarterly columns for Essex Reporter
7) Invasive species management and public education
8) Minutes from March 10, 2015
9) Other business
