The 2nd Benefit Concert for the Children of Fukushima is taking place Saturday, April 11th, at 7pm at the North End Studio (294 North Winooski Avenue, Burlington).
Some of Vermont's best singer/song writers gather once again to raise funds for the children in Fukushima affected by the nuclear disaster. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see Bruce do his other type of drumming!
Besides Bruce, there'll be lots of great musicians: Nancy Beaven; Jim McGinniss/Jim Daniels/Bruce McKenzie/Calab Elder; Mary McGinniss & the Borderland Band: and Tim McKenzie.
$20 cash or check at the door, BYOB
Donations will support "Komera's Forest", who organizes recuperation camps for the children. The camps help them detox, regain physical and emotional strength, play and grow in nature. Since a large scale evacuation is not a possibility at this point, these camps are one of the ways to help counteract the effect of long-term exposure to radioactivity.
It's put on by VT-Fukushima Muddy Feet.
