This Saturday, April 11th, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is hosting the second Accepted Student's Day. There is also a smaller event on Friday, April 10th, in the early evening. This event will be nearly identical to the event held on March 26th.

To reduce having cars in the neighborhood, ALL guests will park at Lakeside and to get people to campus there will be a number of large buses (around 800 people will be coming on Saturday). These buses are in addition to our regular weekend shuttle service. On Friday, the buses will come up Maple Street, drop off in front of Perry Hall on Maple and then go back to Lakeside via South Willard St. On Saturday, the buses will come up Maple Street, drop off in front of Aiken/Hauke/Ireland buildings on Maple and then TAKE A LEFT onto Summit or South Prospect and go back to Lakeside using Main St. Rest assured, we plan to NOT have any buses going south on Summit Street or South Prospect St.

The City has issued permits for NO PARKING ON MAPLE ST (FROM PERRY HALL LOT TO SUMMIT STREET) ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Signs will be placed on the street Thursday to remind you of the parking restriction on both Friday and Saturday. Please do not park in this area so that the buses have a location for pickup/drop off. Towing will be enforced by the City.

We are most appreciative of our neighbor’s understanding during this coming weekend. If despite our best efforts a vehicle is parked inappropriately or blocks a driveway or the like, please call, 802 555-1212 and someone will promptly address your concern. We are in contact with Burlington Police and will address any vehicles that are not abiding by our policy to leave their car at Lakeside. As noted above, in order to get our visiting potential students and their families around, we will have more buses than usual around campus to ensure compliance with our no vehicle policy and to minimize the impact of cars on you, our neighbors.
