The next meeting is May 4th. We will all need to bring ideas to the table on how to help the water district generate $7500.00 a year so that they don’t need to do this install. Whether it be a rate increase, people needing to pay their fair share that aren’t currently, fundraisers, grants, a seed ark etc. There are plenty of ways to make that amount of money that does not involve putting in a solar plant on top of the town water.

And it is not just the people on town water that are affected. We all drive down 346, we all live in Pownal. This solar plant would be a blight on the Gateway to Vermont.

A few of us have already started working on ideas and we are requesting the financials from the board to see how we can help cut costs. We are all willing to help. Are you? If you have any ideas, please let us know. We need to be prepared for the next meeting otherwise the panels are getting installed.

The board has asked for our help, we need to all step up. They won’t sign the contract until after the next meeting in May so we need to work fast. We only have a few weeks.
