Founded in 1890, the Daughters of the American Republic boasts 177,000 members in 3,000 chapters and has one of the nation's premier genealogy libraries, but you don’t need Revolutionary War ancestors to benefit from the DAR’s work. Please join Carol Schwenk, DAR vice-regent for Vermont, to learn about the DAR’s history, deep resources and superb methodologies. Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $5.00 and run from 10:30 to noon. The library is located on Hegeman Ave, Fort Ethan Allen, Colchester. Parking and entrance are across from the State Police Building. Visit our website www.vtgenlib.org or call 802-310-9285 for more details.
