ENGAGING COMMUNITIES, EMPOWERING VICTIMS:
A COMMUNITY AWARENESS MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 8TH, 7:00 P.M.

Coinciding with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, this “Come, Unite!” event at the Waitsfield Elementary School is a follow-up to the one held in September at Lareau Farm to show support for Sue Russell--and, indeed, for ALL victims of violent crime. Again, there will be--in addition to nationally-known advocate/ speaker Anne Seymour--a panel of people from various local and state agencies / groups knowledgeable about victims' and offenders' issues.

There will also be specific information about Richard Laws, who will be released the following day. The people of this valley have been remarkably supportive of Sue and other victims of violence in recent months and years. This is a way we can continue this support.

Light refreshments will be provided.

MANY THANKS to the individuals and businesses displaying teal ribbons in solidarity with crime victims. If you do not have one but would be willing to hang one, contact Jane Cunningham, propertymanagement@madriver.com or Susan McKnight,susanmcknight@gmavt.net.
