Attention Lincoln Voters:
Tonight the Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School Board will be meeting to decide about warning the re-vote for the school's 2016 Fiscal Year budget. If approved, the vote is to be scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th. This would mean that the deadline to register to vote for this will be tomorrow, April 8, at 5:00 p.m. If you will be turning 18 years of age by April 15th, have just moved to town, or otherwise want to be sure you are on the voter checklist to be able to participate in this vote, please contact me right away. If the warning passes tonight, I will keep the office open all day tomorrow from 8am to 7pm, but the deadline to register will be 5:00 p.m. as required by law. If you are not certain about your voter status, please call the office at 453-2980, or e-mail: clerk@lincolnvermont.org. If this goes through, polling hours on April 14th will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you anticipate needing an absentee ballot, please also let me know right away, so I can mail one out to you as soon as I receive them from the Supervisory Union Office. I will need to know the address to which your ballot should be mailed.
Please stay tuned to the news and information regarding this important vote. Although much of what I have stated here is still tentative until after tonight's meeting, I wanted you all to be ready to jump to action. It appears that the vote may be coming up VERY quickly!
