Hi everyone! Just a reminder that Rural Vermont's first "Farmers Tell Their Stories" event is happening THIS WEEK Wednesday April 8th at the Capital City Grange in Montpelier. Hope to see many of you there! Potluck is at 5:30, Annual Meeting at 6:30, and the storytelling starts at 7:30 ($5 admission - fun & unique night out, and on the cheap!).

HERE'S MORE INFO:

To honor Rural Vermont's rich and gutsy thirty year history and to connect the dots between good public policy and good food, Rural Vermont is launching a year-long series of "Farmers Tell Their Stories" events.

The first event is THIS Wednesday, April 8th at the Capital City Grange, located at 6612 Route 12 South on the Montpelier/Berlin line - just a couple miles from Montpelier. Farmers and their friends will take the stage and present a lively variety show featuring their personal and collective experiences through story, poetry, song, and skits!

Whether you've been a Rural Vermont member since the beginning or you're hearing about the organization for the very first time, we look forward to sharing this special evening with you. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

The stories will honor some of the people and accomplishments that make up Rural Vermont's long history, as well as expose the dark underside of the local food movement and offer solutions for creating a fair food system that truly represents and supports the needs and interests of all Vermonters. The stories will also offer plenty of food for thought, along with humor, hope, inspiration, and an invitation for everyone to play a role in defining Rural Vermont's next thirty years.

This celebration, and many more throughout this milestone year, are made possible by Rural Vermont's 30th Anniversary Partner Members: Farm Aid, Action Circles, and Bob White Systems. Please thank them!
