Newfane, VT – An Alternatives Presentation on the project listed below will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 beginning at 6 PM at the Newfane Town Office located at 555 VT Route 30. The meeting will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and Town of Newfane.

Bridge replacement project:

• Newfane BF 0106(6) – Depot Road Bridge #12 over Rock River

The preferred alternative includes the removal and replacement of a historic bridge structure of particular significance with traffic maintained on an offsite detour during a short term road closure.

The intent of the meeting is to provide an overview of this bridge replacement project to Town Officials, local residents and businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, potential detour, and overall schedule followed by a question and answer period. Representatives from both VTrans and the Town of Newfane will be available at the meeting to address public concerns about the projects.
