Led's & Street Lights in Your Neighborhood!

Past event
Apr 24, 2015

Dear neighbors ,

LED street lights are coming to Hardwick and this is our opportunity to evaluate the lights all around town: are they too bright, are there too many, are there spots that need one, should they be redirected, and many more questions to ask ourselves. The way to figure this all out and have your input into YOUR neighborhood, is to join the HEART (Hardwick Energy Action Resource Team) on Friday evening, April 24 with May 1 as a rain date. We will walk the streets of Hardwick (as the Hardwick Street Walkers) by neighborhood, with a short training before hand.

Over 25 people signed up on Town Meeting Day to be part of this effort and one of them may give you a call or you could give us a call: 472-6185 and we will connect you with your neighborhood group. This will happen after dark, so by that time, 7:44pm is Sunset and 8:15pm is Twilight, so we will need to be out and about by 8:45pm. We hope that Hazen students will join us as well.

Not sure how LED's look? There are 3 examples around town: two in front of the Hardwick Elementary School (with bright orange ribbons on those poles), one at the Memorial Building and one (privately owned) at the Hardwick Village Market parking lot on Wolcott Street. Please check them out and let us know what you think. Send an email to me or call at 472-6185. We are working closely with town Gov't and HED on this project, so your input is very important.
