Please join neighbors for an exciting presentation and discussion on plans for ECFiber in Randolph. Yes, real, fast broadband is really coming to our town!

Date: Thurs, Apr. 16, at 7 PM
Place: Red Schoolhouse at VTC, on S. Randolph Rd.

As you have probably heard, plans are set for expanding the ECFiber fiber optic network into Randolph. This Spring we expect to build a trunk thru E. Bethel along Rt. 14 and the first few subscribers will be connected in S. Randolph. Later in the year, the trunk will continue up Rt. 14 to Chelsea Mtn Rd. From there it will join a another trunk being built by the state that will connect parts of Rt. 66, Silloway Rd, Boudro Rd, Rogers Rd, and then on toward Brookfield and Braintree (via Howard Hill Rd).

What this means for sure is that anyone passed on these routes will be able to connect to ECFiber. What remains to be decided (by local subscribers and investors) are the local spurs, that will be built off of the trunk. We need input from the community on how best to utilize resources and meet your needs. There are many spur possibilities, including Gage Rd., S. Randolph Rd, Davis Rd, Saltbox Rd, Whalen Rd, Kelsey Mtn Rd, among others. Although not the focus for this meeting, it is not too early to start discussing strategies for bringing fiber to other parts of town on the west side of I-89.

Several officers of ECFiber will be at the meeting. After a brief presentation of current status and plans, there will be ample opportunity for discussion.
