Everything Good from the Garden

Past event
Apr 19, 2015, 3 to 5 PM

CABOT ARTS presents our last spring offering with German singer-songwriter, musher and gardener Wilfried Mengs (he runs a wilderness camp complete with tipi and sled-dog) and Vermont's own troubadour Rik Palieri in a program of music and song for all age with special emphasis upon the joys of gardening. In densely populated Europe, common or municipal lots are often divided into allotments for rent to local gardeners, who set up shanties and spend whatever clement weather the summer brings among their cabbages and tomatoes. "My Allotment of Paradise" is Wilfried's gently satirical presentation based on this national passion, a passion shared by so many Vermonters, though our gardens are generally in the house yard. Wilfried and Rik have toured together in the US and abroad, blending voices and languages, but their Cabot program will be mostly in English. At the Cabot School Performing Arts Center (CSPAC). Admission by donation at the door. Don't miss this afternoon of charm and celebration after the dreadful winter we've just been through!
