Join us as we explore Vermont's diverse butterflies - from Monarchs to Mustard Whites, Swallowtails to Satyrs - with Kent McFarland, a conservation biologist from the Vermont Center for Ecostudies. From 2002 - 2007 volunteers of all kinds joined Kent to searched fields and fens, mountains and meadows, even their own backyards, to document the status of Vermont butterflies. Despite their lofty status among the insects, butterflies were largely a mystery in Vermont. We've learned a lot but there is still more to discover and you can help. Kent will demonstrate a new online site he helped to create called e-Butterfly, where you can post your observations too.
