SAVE THE DATE: On Sunday, April 19 at 3:00 pm., the Warren Public Library (413 Main Street, Warren) will host a presentation by Valley resident and published author Carol Milkhun. Carol, a poet and writer of prose, will discuss her process of getting published and also discuss small presses in the United States. Her book, A Tapestry of Queens, published last year, is set in sixteenth-century England, and features a fascinating main character who is dressmaker to three of Henry VIII’s queens. A Tapestry of Queens was published by Bagwyn Books, an imprint of the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies in Tempe, Arizona.

Carol will discuss how her novel evolved from her interest in poetry and will detail the trials and tribulations of trying to have a work published. It is also a chance to learn more about the often overlooked smaller publishing houses, which may hold more potential and benefit for the first-time author.

Please join us for what promises to be a very illuminating discussion on Sunday, April 19 at 3:00 p.m. There will be a question and answer period after the presentation, and light refreshments will be served.
