Come visit the representative Civil War encampment and displays by the 18th Vermont Regiment at the Brewster River Campground, three miles south of Jeffersonville on VT 108. Free and open to the public, all are invited to attend the general membership meeting of this non-profit educational group at 2 PM, participate in activities and demonstrations from 3 PM, and learn how to get involved in commemorating the 150th anniversary of the tragic conflict. Discussions will center on the crucial battle of Gettysburg in 1863, followed in the evening by a pot luck dinner, campfire, and songs of the era.
Suitable for all ages, parking adjacent to the pavilion, no pets allowed at campground. Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win many prizes related to Gettysburg and the pivotal role of the 13th Vermont Regiment in the battle.
