713 Elm St., Montpelier
Saturday, April 4, 10:00 a.m.
Rose Paul, Director of Critical Lands and Conservation Science for the Vermont Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, will explain how our plant choices affect the birds and butterflies that will use our yards as habitat. We’ll explore why this is so and highlight some of the native trees and shrubs that support backyard wildlife in Vermont.
Ms. Paul is a graduate of UVM’s Field Naturalist Program and has worked for the Nature
Conservancy for 16 years. She manages the invasive plants at the Conservancy’s natural areas, provides public education on invasives, and teaches an annual workshop on invasives as part of the UVM Extension Master Gardener course.
FREE and open to the public.
