The Energy Independent Vermont campaign aims to put a price on carbon pollution, invest in Vermonters by helping us save money and cut pollution, and cut taxes for Vermonters and Vermont businesses.

An assessment per ton of carbon would be charged to fuel dealers (phased in), and the funds raised would be returned to individual Vermonters and Vermont businesses through rebates, tax credits, and tax rate reductions.

Come to an educational forum at the Richmond Free Library Community Room on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 pm for a presentation about the plan and a time for Q & A.
