Want to be part of an evening that has been called great, fun, open, informative, interesting, honest, awesome, hope, heart-warming and enlightening? Come to the annual WCS Dialogue Night!
Wednesday, April 1st from 6-7:45PM
Get a true picture of the issues concerning WCS 6th-8th grade students, including specific data on self-harming behaviors, marijuana and inhalant use, and teen perceptions about the dangers of binge drinking. Students will share their assessment of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey data for our school, as a result of the YRBS Student Data Analysis conducted by the VKAT leadership group. Parents and students will then talk in small groups and decide what topic they would like to discuss for the “dialogue”. Parents and their children will be seated at different tables in order to enrich these conversations about adolescent issues. Community members are welcome to attend. Dialogue Night is co-sponsored by FAP.
For the pizza part of the evening, 6-6:15PM, please RSVP to Sarah, SAP Counselor, sklionsky@cssu.org, by Monday 3/30
Here is some feedback we received about Dialogue Night from Parents and Students:

“I thought it was so interesting to hear the thoughts and concerns of kids my son’s age. I loved how open and articulate they were.”
“It let me open up.”
“It addressed issues I wasn’t comfortable talking about before.”
“We talked a lot about why teenagers don’t talk to their parents and it was nice to have parents hear our feelings.”
