There is a meeting at 6:15pm on 4/6 to view the proposed solar power plant location at the Wellhead Acreage on Rt. 346. 7:00pm meeting also open to the public that same night at Solomon Wright Library with the Pownal Fire District #2 Prudential Board to voice our concerns and look for alternative options/locations.

As your neighbor, I have been researching the issues and concerns about the use of our water source protection area for an industrial power plant. There will be no new jobs, no lower cost water or electricity. It will be on top of the water you and your children drink, in a high accident location.

Please come to the meeting to learn more about what is proposed and let your voice be heard. This is right in the middle of your residential neighborhood affecting the local property values and also the scenic beauty of 346 which is considered to be a "gateway to Vermont”, worthy of protection as per the town plan and by-laws.
