We wanted to reach out and let folks know, or remind them, that we are in the process of fund raising for the MMU 2015 Project Graduation.
In case you are not aware, Project Graduation is an event that provides a safe and very fun evening of entertainment for seniors on the night of their graduation ceremony in June.
This program was developed many years ago, to provide kids a way of celebrating the biggest night of their young lives, with the intent of preventing it from being the last night of their still very short lives.
The night is filled with different organized activities, supervised by parents, but still allowing these young men and women to revel in the accomplishment of completing High School and say goodbye to friends and classmates they may not see again for a long time, if ever.
Not only is it a really fun night for kids to remember as they start the next stage of their lives, it allows that final chance, together in one big group and in a social environment, to have fun and say goodbye, perhaps not with their closest friends, but those people that have touched their lives in many different ways over the years.
Project graduation is a grass-roots event, organized every year by the parents of graduating seniors. We rely on residual funding from previous years and hope to leave a reasonable nest egg for future classes.
The biggest fund raising event is an on-line silent auction culminating in a community dinner on Wednesday, April 8th.

This year we are fortunate to have a delicious Community Dinner catered by MEXICALI’S. The menu is fantastic and is sure to satisfy the range of sensitive, to spice-loving, palates.
This is a great night for the whole family or a fun night for your teenagers to have some bonding time as the school year winds down.
