Bridport, Shoreham, and Whiting are three of the towns in Addison County along the Crown Point Road that was built in 1759. It ran diagonally for 77 miles across Vermont, creating an overland supply connection between Lake Champlain and the Connecticut River. "Crown Point Road" is listed on the Middlebury Community Television schedule for Comcast showings at 8:30 p.m. Sat. March 28 and at both 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sun., March 29.
