This year Rutland’s Ladies’ Night Out Women’s Chorus, Lucy Allen Tenenbaum, Artistic Director and Conductor, present four concerts on their Spring Tour. Titled “From a Feminine Perspective,” the music suggests a variety of ways that women see the world, or how women are seen by the world. “What Wondrous Love is This?” from the Southern Harmony tradition, is the center of the program, holding the other music together like the hub of a wheel. Some of the “spokes” are songs written by Gwyneth Walker and Elizabeth Alexander, well-known living women composers. Other music in the program ranges from folk music to Broadway. Glendon Ingalls on upright Bass and Marci O’Brien on piano will accompany.
Concerts start on Friday, May 1, 7:30 pm, at the Union Church of Proctor, 5 Church St.
The other three concerts are:
