In celebration of Vermont’s Maple Open House Weekend guests are into the sugar house to see how maple syrup is made. Boiling will be happening weather dependent from 11:00-5:00 (Saturday & Sunday). Check our facebook page for more information the day of. Maple syrup is available for sale inside the tasting room in a variety of sizes. If you are coming to take a tour please come ready for mud season with proper clothing and footwear. The Maple orchard is located on the hill behind the Vineyard and is part of Snow Farm Vineyard's agricultural landscape. During Maple Open House Weekend each day tours will be held to investigate the maple sugaring making process. Visitors are welcome to walk through the Vineyard and up to fox hill to take in the magnificent views of Lake Champlain.
Maple Open House Weekend Events (these are all free events):
Friday: 6-9 pm Wine Down with Catfish and Bodega
Saturday: Boiling in the Sugar House between 11-5. Tour of the sugar making process beginning from the Sugarhouse at 1:00
Sunday: Boiling in the Sugar House between 11-5. Tour beginning with a book reading & signing event by Vermont author Amanda Bates in the Tasting Room at 1:00 followed by a farm tour.
As a special celebration of farms and land conservation in South Hero, 25% of proceeds from sales of Snow Farm estate wine, Crescent Bay Farm pork and maple syrup will be donated to South Hero Land Trust.
Other Happening's on the West Shore:
Vinyasa in the Vineyard yoga classes, with Thereza "Tree" Cononi owner of Tree House Yoga and Wellness, are held Monday's and Wednesdays from 9-10 am. $10 per class all abilities welcome. A Registered Yoga Instructor, Tree integrates a peaceful Vermont style to a vinyasa flow class. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in and lay out your mat.
Our Final show in the Winter Wine Down Music Series is on April 3 with music from Bob Boyd. 6-9 pm. No Cover Charge. No Dress Code. Dinners available to order through Zach's Cafe, visit grandisleartworks.com for menu and ordering information.
