Kat Wright will perform with Brett Hughes at Lincoln Peak Vineyard on Friday, March 27 at 7:00 pm, the last concert in the winery’s Cabin Fever Series. Kat Wright and Brett Hughes love to dig down to and find the roots of songs— to take the spare and unadorned structure of melodies and build a world around each one, to let them breathe and to breathe in new life— with alternately lonesome and mournful, joyful and soaring harmonies. They share an easy rapport, and bring equally reverent and heartfelt enthusiasm to Brett’s originals and their inspired choice of classics.

Kat Wright, known through our region and beyond as the powerhouse leader of herIndomitable Soul Band, sings with a voice that’s gritty yet highly emotive; sultry and dynamic. Her style shares a timeless quality with some of history’s greatest singers (think young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse). Brett Hughes, a virtuoso musician and producer, is known for his diverse range of musical ensembles from viperHouse to leading Honky Tonk Tuesdays at Radio Bean in Burlington.
