Join the Central Vermont UVM Extension Master Gardeners at North Branch Nature Center this coming Saturday, March 28 starting at 10:30 a.m.. Judy and David Murphy will explain how to build your own hoop houses on existing soil or raised beds. You can choose to visit Splendid Oak Farm following the presentation to see the hoop houses they have in use there.

Judy and David retired in 2007 to develop and run a small organic vegetable and berry farm with free range pastured chickens. They are members of the Vermont Vegetable and Berry Growers Association, the Northeastern Organic Farmers Association of Vermont,and the Root Cellar and Green House Committee of Montpelier Transition Town. They sell produce at a small farmstand on the farm and to Hunger Mountain COOP.
