As a follow up to the Solarize program this past fall, the Randolph Town Energy Committee is moving forward to promote community solar this year. These projects will be larger group solar installations located a a great spot for solar from which people can buy shares and get the a portion of the electricity produced creditted to their electric bill. This approach is more cost effective than placing the solar panels at your home, and is open to anyone in the Green Mountain Power service area.
The first project is the Randolph Solar Cooperative. It will be located in Randolph and provide enough power for about 30 homes. Our first meeting will be on Monday March 30 at 6:30 pm at the Lyon's Den in Randolph.
