Sugar on Snow Party
The CCCC’s Sugar on Snow family event is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. It seems that we can be assured of plentiful snow and flavorful Craftsbury maple syrup is already on hand. In addition there will be the traditional donuts and pickles. All we need is for you to come and make it a truly festive gathering.
The very popular Chinese auction will showcase a wide variety of baked goods including coffee cakes, muffins, fresh bread for breakfast; pies and fancy cakes for a decadent dessert treat. Come and see how lucky you may be!
This year’s raffle is just outstanding. CCCC resident Alma Rowley’s son, Bill, has hand turned a most beautiful 8 inch salad bowl made from a cherry tree damaged in a Maine storm a year ago. Vaughn Rinaldi, who gave us the enchanting children’s quilt last year, has provided the coziest handsome twin bed quilt. The Blackwatch plaid squares are accented against those of dark green and blue. A gift certificate from Lost Nation Brewing in Morrisville could provide you with a tasty lunch or dinner accompanied by one of their special beers. For the second year High Mowing Seeds has offered us a selection of their seed packets – what better way to start your summer garden. Raffle tickets ($1 apiece or 6 for $5) are now on sale at CCCC.
We look forward to seeing you on the 28th!
