Hi Neighbors,

I’ll be leading a relaxed informal field walk at Memorial Park (behind the Riverworks facility on Elm St.) this Saturday from 10am - 11am. We’ll spend about an hour exploring the park, paying attention to and learning about the birds, trees, animal tracks, early signs of spring, and anything else of interest that we come across.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. If you have binoculars or field guides, feel free to bring those along. RSVPs would be great so I can have a sense of how many people to expect.

We’ll meet in the parking lot on the west side of the Riverworks building--across from the main entrance to the building.

I moved to Winooski about a year ago and teach ecology, conservation, and natural history at UVM. I'm looking forward to exploring the ecology of this wonderful little park with neighbors.
