22 March was declared "World Day for Water" by the United Nations in 1993, and has been observed as such in many countries ever since. The Lake Champlain Basin Program and partners in the Champlain Basin Education Initiative are hosting a celebration of World Water Day on Thursday, March 19th from 4:30-6:30 pm in the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center. The evening will include light refreshments, presentations of awards for our Water Day contest, and guest speaker Rachael Miller, co-founder of The Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean.
