All residents of the five towns are invited to the 3rd annual 5-Town Friends of the Arts gathering, which will take place this year on Sunday, March 29th from 4:00 – 6:30, at Art on Main located at 25 Main Street in Bristol. There will be music with David and Nate Gusakov, munchies provided by the culinary-talented Board of 5-Town Friends of the Arts, and mingling with fascinating characters from the five-town area.

This event will also be an opportunity to honor Starksboro artist, Cynthia Kling, and recognize her for her contribution to the arts and cultural heritage in the five towns. Cynthia Kling is known for her beautiful and evocative paintings depicting landscapes, farm and sugaring buildings, local plants and animals, and scenes true to this particular place, and which is collected locally. Cynthia has also worked with great commitment and energy at Art on Main, since its formation in 2001. This is an amazing local store and resource containing a treasure trove of unique works created by local artists and artisans. Cynthia is a true champion of the arts.

Going along with this recognition is an exhibit of 32 of Cynthia’s oil paintings at the WalkOver Gallery, 15 Main Street, during the month of March and visitors are welcome. Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 until 5:00 and the Gallery will be open during the celebration on March 29th from 4-6:30..
