"Trapping Boats of the Lake Champlain Basin"

On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 7 p.m.: In conjunction with the exhibit "In Champlain’s Wake: Trapping Boats of the Lake Champlain Basin," a reception will be held at the Sheldon Museum to celebrate the achievements of the students from the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center who researched the traditions of trapping and boatbuilding in the Champlain Valley under the direction of Vergennes-based boatbuilder Douglas Brooks and Hannaford’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education) instructor Jake Burnham. The evening will include a presentation by Brooks and Burnham highlighting the students’ accomplishments. $5; museum members free. The exhibit runs March 10 through April 11, 2015 at the Museum.
