Interested in area rivers? Concerned about water quality?

Addison County River Watch Collaborative invites you to volunteer and help collect water quality samples. River Watch volunteers have been monitoring area rivers and streams for 20 years, and going strong. From April through September, samples are collected the first Wednesday of the month, from 7-9:30am in the morning. If you are interested and available, please join us! Our annual spring training will be Saturday, March 28th, from 9-11am at the offices of the Addison County Regional Planning Commission, 14 Seminary Street in Middlebury. Local bagels and coffee will be served starting at 8:30am. Samplers are encouraged to collect at least 2-3 times during the season. Samples are collected on the Otter Creek, Middlebury River, Lemon Fair, New Haven River, Lewis Creek and Little Otter. For more info, contact Matt Witten, Coordinator (mwitten@gmavt.net); 434-3236, or Heidi Willis (redsprings@nbnworks.net). Hope to see you on the 28th!
