Good Heart Farmstead invites you to prepare for spring in this Beginning Gardening Workshop!
The best way to get the freshest local food possible is to grow it in your own yard. As part of our mission to increase local food accessibility, we want to help you learn how!
This workshop is designed for the new and beginning gardener. If you’re starting a garden for the first time, or have been gardening for a few years, you’ll come away with the knowledge and confidence to grow your own vegetables, herbs and flowers.
What we’ll cover:
-How to pick and order seeds
-Seed Starting
-Garden Design
You’ll leave with a hand-out on seed-starting and a vegetable planting guide to refer to throughout the season. There will be ample time for questions regarding your specific site.

All proceeds will benefit the Vermont Farm Share Program, through which we offer subsidized CSA shares to limited-income Vermonters. Good Heart Farmstead is committed to making fresh, local food available to people of all income levels, and increasing the accessibility of food to low-income community members. Your donation will directly contribute to feeding families in the Central Vermont community.
