Enjoy a fun-filled day of hiking, family activities, musical entertainment, and food while supporting a great cause – the Lamoille Family Center! Participate in the 4th Annual Climb for Kids fundraising hike on September 28th at Elmore State Park.
In addition to a hike, you can enjoy entertainment by local musician Tracy Wolters, a wide variety of children’s activities, an afternoon barbecue and ice cream, an awards ceremony, a large bouncy house, and an appearance by Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
You can participate as an individual or as part of a team (family, friends, school group, etc). Every person who raises $50 in pledges will receive a t-shirt. Other prizes will be given to participants in a variety of individual and team categories. The admission fee to the State Park is waived if you show your pledge envelope at the entrance gate.
New this year - Families who choose not to hike, can still enjoy the event for a small fee. Adults - $10, Children (under 12) - $5. This fee includes admission to the state park.
This event raises funds to sustain critical services including home visiting, parent education, playgroups, child care resource and referral, youth services and emergency assistance. Participants will collect pledges or make a donation and hike one of the three trails at Elmore State Park (there is a trail for all ages and abilities – ¾ mile, 1 mile, and 2.5 miles). Registration begins at 10am, with hiking beginning at 10:30am.
